Hellooooo World!

The Giraffee roasted coffee that I ordered from Roel Tan-Torres (roasted on 12.17.06) was superblylicious!

With about 16g ground in a Macap M4 then to a 360ml Bodum press pot, I smelled perfume as I sipped my first taste. Love to describe the taste but I rather forgot to 'taste' when those perfume notes hit my nose... I got to note the taste a couple of days later. It was medium bodied, I thought it was a bit high in acidity, but certainly not unpleasant, and what tasted like flowers. A bouquet of flowers. 4 days after the coffee was roasted, I noted that the perfume was gone and was replaced by something that was dense and had over-ripe fruitiness... *sigh* I really liked that perfumy smell.

THEN... I adjusted the grinder 1-click finer and got it back. Ahhh... sweet smell of success. The body seemed to have gotten heavier with the finer grounds. A lovely batch this coffee

I have another 200g kept in a vacuum container for Christmas Eve dinner and hope to have preserved those perfumy (perfumey?) notes.
